Amazing. I guess I can now dispose of the books in that series I've been lugging around for years (except there's always that niggling worry about online material disappearing without notice...). Thanks, hama7.

The US Library of Congress country studies, the only source for the site linked in the post, are still online at http://lcweb2.loc.gov/frd/cs/

Other sites that provide comprehensive country information are IndexMundi and NationMaster.

countrystudies.us is not complete. The LOC is the complete version. Compare the entry for Czech for example: CountryStudies and LOC

Not so fast. The LOC version doesn't include the study on the United States.
