The Numero Group is a web-based record company specializing in unearthing great music that you probably didn't know existed but can't live without. (Flash site; more inside)
Thanks, ba! Just ordered all three albums.
My only complaint is I wish they took paypal.

No kidding. Not even a link to a non-flash version.
They can't be too serious about attracting customers.
Oh well. Maybe some day they'll discover, um, HTML.

Ayn, did you try the site? It works perfectly smoothly. Flash crashes my browsers 90% of the time. I went thru the whole site, listened to a bunch of samples and placed my order without a hitch.

My reviews:
Numero 001 Eccentric Soul: The Capsoul Label
Like listening to an oldies station which (in direct violation of ClearChanel policy) is playing track after track of soul and R&B that you've never heard before. Highly recommended.
Numero 002 Antena: Camino Del Sol
French-Belgian electro-samba. Antena reminds me of a mellower Cath Carrol singing over a bed of thrift-store synths. The effect is quite pleasing. My only complaint is that at points, it gets so atmospheric that it almost sounds muddy to my ears. I'm still glad to have it in my collection.
Numero 003 Eccentric Soul: The Bandit Label
I don't own this one yet, but I love the write-up on the site about the detective work involved in producing a compilation of material from the "so-obscure-it-almost-didn't-exist label."
