aah, arse_hat! "The repulsive, blood red flower blooms only several times in its forty-year lifespan. The current flowering is only the fourth time this huge, rare, foul-smelling flower has ever bloomed in Georgia." It's like Bukowski poetry! I, myself, feel like a repulsive, foul-smelling, blood red flower sometimes!

I was a student at UW-Madison when their flower once bloomed. There's some video there (from a second blooming) and I think at the time they had some kind of webcam on it so you could preview the best times to visit.
