Food-Force • An educational video game from the U.N.'s World Food Programme. Screenshots & overview: "An aircraft circles over a crisis zone. War. Drought. People are hungry. This is the virtual world of the Food Force video game. It represents our real world, where 852 million people lack enough food to eat and World Food Programme teams deliver food aid every day using not only airplanes but a fleet of ships and thousands of trucks." Available for both Mac & PC.
Damn. NotMyselfRightNow's post didn't use Food-Force.com as the main link, so I didn't get a red flag when I submitted it. Though as soon as I posted it, I realized I should have done a keyword search....

In the same vein.... the New Zealand Air Force has these hippy military games. It's not like Tom Clancy could write a novel/game about their missions...

The installer for the Mac version wanted to start up Classic, so I scrapped it. Is there no native OS X version?

In the last mission you don't even need to give them food and you can still max out all of the bars. I think there might be a bug. :)
