Blogger Mobile

Blogger Mobile. Blogger introduces mobile-phone-to-weblog posting. Send an MMS/email message from your cellphone to the specified email address, and Go.Blogger auto-generates a new random blogspot URL hooked to your contact information. (The URL can be changed or merged with your existing weblogs when you "claim" your number on login.) More from Blogger Buzz (with jingle), Blogger Help, Bizstone, and Youngpup. What do you think of this compared to "moblogging" via Flickr?
I think it's excellent. I can send pictures of my Pepsi Blue bottles straight from my cellphone! I couldn't Ask for more.

The "Pepsi Blue" speed has exceeded all expectations today! Pretty amazing for a Saturday afternoon.
In my defense, this is something weblog-technology-related, from a company which a few Metafilter members used to work for. It does affect many of us closely, I think, which is why I've posted about new Blogger developments in the past. In fact, I'm surprised no one else had posted it yet, since it debuted yesterday.

now, thanks to people who really get the web, there is practically zero lagtime between a squirrel getting crushed under bus wheels and the update to roadkill.blogspot.com.

Is it uncool to point out that something like this has been available on Livejournal for a while?

I was going to point out the same. This is old technology, really, and 3rd party tools have been freely offering the same kind of service for Blogger users for a long time.

I think Flickr is better because it's Flickr. I'd much rather view and/or stumble upon a Flickr user's neat photostream rather than look at some crap Blogger blog with low resolution pictures of who knows what. It all seems a little too late on Google's behalf if you ask me, too. And yeah this is yesterday's news. Does that mean that we can assume most people already know about this? Probably. I know I did.

I see this FPP and all I can think is "Quick, Bloggerman! To the Bloggermobile!"
Then you cue the cheezy background music. Biff! Zonk!
