Crazy Eddie

Crazy Eddie is back, and he's on the Internet. Rising from the ashes of what the accountants call "one of the twentieth century’s most infamous financial statement frauds," the consumer-electronics retailer is offering once again to "beat any price you can find," along with all-new radio commercials! Just like being in New York in the 80s again.
They sold me the worst 11" black and white TV I ever owned.

They have been selling electronics through EBay for months now. Always sets his reserve to the MSRP-- or just *slightly* below (by like $100).

Let me get this clear:
This guy is known to be a fraud and spent several years in prison for fraud. Now he's selling stuff through eBay, and people are buying from him? Why would anyone trust him to deliver what he promises?

Steven, I don't think that's the story. He wasn't defrauding customers, he was defrauding the government (specifically, the IRS, if I recall correctly). Well, who gives a rat's scrawny bee-hind about them, so long as I could get a Sony Walkman for $50 less than the grey marketers skulking around 47th Street?

He was also defrauding the stockholders (of which I was one) and there was a major class action suit which came to an end when Eddie coughed up a certain amount of dough.
Anyway, that's all in the past. For those of us who he screwed, all I can say is: Eddie come back. Who cares if you're a fraud and a cheat. All is forgiven -- just put those great commercials back on TV.
