UPDATE: FULL OF LOL
Aparently, one of her friends took it out of the frige and poured it into dixie cups, most of them took a cup and went to sit down ( it was a pot luck ) people mentioned the smell and someone said "they put rum flavoring in it" ( probably talking about store-bought ) a few people opted out of trying it, like my aunt ( she wont drink anything that reminds her of alcohol ) but 5 other women drank it down, hahahahaah.
she said more people took a sip and spit it out and they were all talking about the taste, eventually they were screaming and found out it was mine, so she called me yelling.

Today my History class took a feild trip to the Museum of Tolerance. Its a museum showing kids not to be prejudice and all that good stuff.
Anyways, one exhibit is two doors next to each other. One door has a sign hanging over it saying "Those with prejudice walk through this door" The other door's sign said "Those without prejudice walk through this door". Obviously the door for people without prejudice isn't openable because as the tour guide says "Everyone has prejudice".
So, I start tugging on the door and say "What the hell is wrong with this damn door, did some damn Jew make this?" and the tour guide kicked me out and i had to sit in the bus for 15 minutes

As a Mefite and a forum goon, can't we all just get along?
SA and Mefi are different sites. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Both are on my daily reading list. Both are often full of about 80% shit, and 20% solid content.
And to prove that SA has great threads, read THIS ONE, about a kiwi bloke who just took a roadtrip across America in a Lotus Elise:

I defy you to read that thread and say it ain't a great little story.

Eideteker: I'm not sure, but your comment seems to infer you believe I was attacking you. I was not. Indeed, I was actually praising your position. I think that too often Metafilter threads, good, bad or badly perceived, degenerate into threads just like this one because it seems like many people here actually like trashing threads people have posted. Sometimes it's deserved. Other times it is not. But even when it is, I agree with your point completely; just mark the thread, move on, and let the higher ups make the final call.
I assume that you think I was attacking you (if indeed you believe I was) because I said "5 real (yet still, ultimately imaginary) cool points for you!" I assure you that you are worthy of cool points here at Metafilter because the point that you made is, as I've said, a good one. But given that no 'cool points' system actually exists, any cool points I could award are ultimately still imaginary. I was just trying to say that without sounding verbose, and hopefully a little humorous. I appear to have failed on the latter count at least. Again, please accept that I agree with you, and meant no offence.

Every time someone says something doesn't belong here, a fairy dies. Find me a post linking to humourous content that doesn't have a stranger to the word "subjective" responding about how unfunny it is and how it doesn't belong.
My question about this post, having read only the front page of the linked discussion: is there a significant development in the narrative that makes reading beyond the front page necessary to truly understand the discussion to the fullest extent? Is there a wowzer of a comment on page 4? A response from the Aunt's lawyer, perhaps, demanding an end to the discussion and any reference to his client as an "alcoholic"?

Hey, all I'm saying is, the newer you are here, the less likely you are to understand what is & isn't in line with community standards.

Funny story about knocking drunks off the wagon: *bzzt!*
Also, I looked at the user numbers of everyone who mentioned that they thought this post was fine.

One day, someone will literally post a link to a Fark thread on the front page of MeFi, and a bunch of people will go, "but how is that wrong?", and the circle will be closed, and I can quit the internet.

Then we'll all meet in a big sunny meadow filled with thousands of colorful pavilions and millions of brightly fluttering pennants and we'll have a great big outdoor pancake breakfast while enjoying a real, live, twelve-piece bluegrass band.

Link to some interesting threads next time.

Okay I did not care too much for the FPP, found it mildy amusing, but this thread is good. Kind of old style with the under 100's snarking at the over 1000's........

I have to admit I enjoyed the link: far from the best of the web, but pretty damn funny (but then, I have a low tolerance for people who steal other people's eggnog), and I'd a hell of a lot rather see links like this than the 10,000th "oh look somebody made a video making fun of Bush's grammatical mistakes!!!" post.
But hey, if you feel otherwise, go wild with the flags. MeFi is big enough for everybody's pet peeves.

When I think about some of the stuff that's been posted (not necessarily by me) and deleted off the blue, and I see this here, I really wonder if the folks running this site realize how utterly full of crap they are.

Heyyyyy! Easy there M.F.s!!! (MeFites, not the other.) This is skjønn's 5th FPP. There was no huge backlash against the others. Give her a break! :) Me? I mostly lurk.
Plus, extra points for:
1. Her MySpace picture.
2. She uses the slashy thing through an "o" in her name. Takes guts.

"Oops!" is a totally lame FPP.
How about "Stealing other people's eggnog not always a good idea", for example?

Right. She's not a player, she just crushes a lot.
Dictionary.
This post should actually be on the example page of what is not a good post.
But, in typical MeFi fashion, the ensuing thread is better than the link. Which occurs about 95% of the time. Internal links are almost always just as good if not better than the initial FPP.
THAT is what MetaFilter does better than anywhere else. And that's the reason I read MeFi in the first place.
