As a veteran of a ACLU-aided free-speech legal battle against my own high school, I'd like to offer my support and encouragement.
One question, probably rhetorical: why isn't the school up in arms about the initial distribution of that essay on their own grounds? Seems to me that's an expression of speech they actually have the legal ability and right to control...
