Yeah . . . and I feel stupid. I mispelled heroes. I need a correction.

I didn't remember them until you named them. I'm still not certain if I should thank you or curse you.

There's probably a reason why I'd forgotten they existed. Thanks augustweed.

They don't make cartoons like they used to. And that's not always a bad thing.

Ha. I spent years trying to find other people who remembered the lovably pathetic Mighty Heroes. Definitely one of those cartoons better in my kiddie memory than in reality, though. The superhero parody element and DiaperMan's voice were probably what made me remember it. Thanks, augustweed.
Btw, this is one of those YouTube posts that could have used a bit more context from other links. There's more info at Toonpedia's entry; the show aired in 1966-67, part of Terrytoons, where Ralph Bakshi started his career. One of the voices for the show also did the voice for Starkist's Charlie the Tuna. There's more, including links to the original Spiderman cartoons, Ren & Stimpy and the famous Mighty Mouse cocaine-sniffing episode, but I'll leave that for you.

I prefer The Impossibles, if I have to choose.

I had a vague memory of some "tornado man", Cukoo man", "Diaper man" thing from my childhood. I figured out who they were about 7 years back or so. Almost nobody remembered them.
It's nice to see that I'm not completley crazy and imagined them.
Now if I could just find a copy of that cheesy old battery powered screech owl game I remember from sometime around 1972 or 73.

I managed to find a complete dvd of all their episodes (looks home made). My favorite episode is "The Rubber Grubber." I've received some strange looks over the years whenever I've mentioned the Mighty Heroes. I wonder if it was only shown to a select group?
