The Internet is not a big truck! It's a series of Tangled Up TUBES! Evhead mixes up Ted Stevens & a dance beat with fantastic results.

Direct mp3 link, as referenced by evhead's flash player.

Unless Evhead is also part of Boldheaded, it's not his song.

Actually the music version is a bit clearer than the actual speech. Nice to know bright chaps like this are making life and death decisions for us.

I love the various Internets.

The sad thing is, you really don't need to edit Stevens' words to make him look stupid. Adding anything to the original comments only diminishes them.

The beginning kind of sounds like old Astral Projection.

As it turns out, though, the internet is neither a big truck nor a series of tubes. It is, in actuality, serious business.

I really prefer The Tubes. Fee Waybill could've done it so much better.

With the placement of the urbandictionary logo, you almost can't tell if it says "Business" or "Bullshit".

The Internet: Serious Bu******.

Yeah... I could have sworn that wasn't there when I posted it. Oh well. I guess that's what makes the internet such serious business.

Really though, the internet - not a big truck. Truly who among us can deny the non-big truckness of the internet? And isn't that the real lesson?

Poor Ted Stevens... he'd be less cranky if someone cleaned his pipes.

Of course the internet is tubes-- everyone knows the internet is about sex, and what's sex except one tube sliding into another?

I believe the procedure he is in want of is having his tubes tied.

If we ever decide to no longer use congress, can we just keep some of them around for entertainment value? Like the royal family?

Thanks for the plug, cortex. Maybe I just have a soft spot for stammering old codgers. They're so endearing when they're not running the country.

The knee-jerk sheep-herd reaction to this is even more stupid than his poor expression of the internet as a multi-route transfer medium prone to bottlenecks* as opposed to a direct, bulk-single-load transit.

The only thing sad is that he is on a comittee dealing with internet laws.

*What? You've never experienced a slow-net moment?

Actually, that's a sentiment I've heard from most people about this. "It's sad that this guy is on a comittee dealing with internet regulation."

So how does being part of the sheep-herd feel, HTuttle?
