Archie meets The Punisher, but unfortunately not his demise.

Crossover comics create some bizarre, BIZARRE, teamups; not at all separating reality and fiction. It's been happening for a long time and continues to this day.

I really need to dig up my copy of "Archie Meets the Punisher" and put that thing on eBay...

Funny, I just read about the origins of the early Avengers/Justice League of America crossovers at the always great Comics Should Be Good! (Scroll down).

Couldn't seem to find any mention of the Black Lama, aka King Jerald, aka Gerald Ford of Earth-7511, though.

I remember coming across that X-Men/Teen Titans crossover in my buddy's pile of comics one day as a kid and just being flabbergasted..."But...how can they...why don't they...this doesn't make any sense!!!" Great post!

What is it with Superman and bunny teamups? Not just once, but five times?

Anyway, you can read parts of the Batman/Judge Dredd crossover here and here.

X-Men/Star Trek was mostly lame, but had some nice moments.

Captain Kirk, after a run-in with Gladiator: "Spock... did that man just... punch my ship?"

Comic books are for losers anyways.

...and thank you, saraswati.
I'm genuinely suprised that worked at all.

Bat Lash, the writer of the Archie/Punisher crossover, is a truly funny, clever guy. Glad to see him get some props here.

Did geocities change it's bandwidth policies? How are these sites still up?

Could be Geocities Plus (25gb data transfer limit) or Pro (100gb).

As for winning the $30? I think not. These are all geocities links. Good links, granted, but...!

Man, the "Celebrities and Politicians" list missed a couple of good ones:

-nude George W. Bush licks Magneto's boots clean on the White House front lawn, on national TV.

-extremely lame mutant prostitute who follows the X-Men around sneaks into Bill Clinton's house to molest him.

-Someone who is clearly Princess Di with new hair clumsily drawn over her head joins and leads X-Statix.

The Punisher/Archie crossover is actually pretty good.

ZachsMind: Even if I won it, which I doubt, the money would go to charity. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do to apply to win, so I doubt it.

But as for Geocities links...why not? Assuming the content doesn't suck, why would we harbour prejudice against someone just for choosing a webhost we don't like? Maybe we should ban any Mefi who uses AOL?

"But as for Geocities links...why not?"

I'm an old fart who still hates Geocities from the late 90s. I had a website through them that I called the Prosaic Asylum but it's lost now, and though it was probably my fault (I lost the password and they didn't have a way for me to get it back back then) I still hate them for it.

It's an old wound that never healed...

*melodramatic pose*

I shall never forgive them..

*dramatic chord*

..but it's a cross I alone must bare through the rest of future history.

*dramatic music swells up. curtain*

Wouldn't that cross be easier to bear if you had a team-up with the Hulk and maybe George Foreman for a while?
