I've heard really good things about that book, although I have not read it myself. If I remember correctly, Justa's book focuses on developing functional strength through unorthodox lifting techniques. Instead of, say, going at it with a barbell, the book recommends lifting big-ass steel cans, or sandbags or logs.
And he is, of course, batshitinsane, but he does have a lot of respect in lifting circles.

He lifts ~500lb steel drums full of water among other things. I have no doubt he's incredibly strong though, despite a little flab.
