Evelyn: The Cutest Evil Dead Girl A little Burton, a little Seuss, and pretty darn enjoyable. If you don't like youTube, you should probably stay away.
Lenore comics and the creator's webpage and livejournal just for extra measure.

If you're looking for originality in your cute goth girls, we might as well go back to Chas. Addams and cut out all the middle men. Thanks for the posts, though.

The description posted at YouTube describes the video as "Tim Burton atmosphere + Lenore in flesh". I like it.

They played this right before 2LDK at the Philly Film Fest a couple years ago.

The cutest evil dead girl is definitely Trash from Return of the Living Dead. Or, well, at least she's the hottest.

And Lenore is really just a stylistic spin-off of the Johnny the Homicidal Maniac series by Jhonan Vasquez. (The twisted genius who also brought us Invader Zim.)

quin: when Evelyn wakes up and starts stabbing her stuffed bear, she makes a little grunting noise that reminds me of Gir.

And I have to disagree with you JZ. If we are going with dead girls from the Return of the Living Dead series, you have to give it to Melinda Clark ("Julie Walker" in RotLD 3). Before her unfortunate success in the OC, she was a B-movie and bad TV show goddess.
For further questions, see Killer Tongue; a movie so wonderfully odd I can barely begin to describe it.

Whoa. quin. I didn't know until I looked at Clarke's IMDB profile that Stephen Sommers is remaking When Worlds Collide. And Clarke is the only person cast so far. I guess her career's on the upswing.

I found it enjoyable, but as mentioned above, the influences are pretty clear.
As for "The Cutest".... hmm. Hard to beat 12 year old Kirsten Dunst in Interview with the Vampire. I feel sort of vaguely ashamed admiring her watching that, now that she's all grown up and hot.

I thought it was pretty poorly executed. The acting seems like college video class level but the sets are clearly above that. Strange.

I dated her in college in 1986. I met her at a Cure show. I don't think she still looks like that though.

psmealey, huh, are you making a joke that's just flying over my head? Nadia was 10 years old in 1986!

Nope, zarah. Nothing other than that look hasn't changed much in over twenty years (which is a good thing!). She looks exactly like someone I dated way back when.
