Flash Onslaught.

What did you do this weekend? I played Onslaught a mildly addictive, protect your base using upgradeable towers, flash game. Basic manual, extra detail FAQ and unlimited* money sandbox version.
Once you've upgraded the red turrets enough, they have a holding pattern, and missles are constantly kept in the air.
Game kinda plays itself at that point...

The game doesn't support sound, considering the destruction once you get above 100 that's probably a feature.

I was doing pretty well until I decided I was going to send TEN WAVES AT ONCE WOOOOOO and then ANOTHER FIVE WOOO!!
