Sure these book carts look cool, but they probably don't handle very well and are a likely target for thieves.
Porno for lubriarians ?

Please don't steal book carts! You can purchase them on ebay.

Synchronized book cart dancing? Gussied up book carts? Next thing you know librarians will be tattooing swastikas on their faces.
Civilization has ended.

As the son of a librarian, and who spent many many many many days as a child trapped in an academic library, these links are awesome :) But where is the bookcart racing?

I want to see the lowrider version that has spinning rims and hydraulics, which, when engaged, send books flying everywhere.
It should have a bumpin' sound system as well.
Of course, it won't be street legal anymore, but that's the price you pay for having a tricked out ride.

Or maybe a honkin' active noise cancellation system.

I actually think these carts are a great way to encourage children to read.

We uglyfy our booktrucks so that no one would want to steal them...but they take them anyways. Ya dumb bastards!

Previously (although your post is more about the decorated carts than the drill teams.)

I had previously seen the Book Cart drill team stuff here on Mefi but wanted to pad my first post out a bit so it wasn't a single link to "pimp my cart" ("Single-link cart pimping post? GYOFB!"). I still giggle when I watch the clips and pretend that it's a National Geographic special about a nerd mating ritual.
was hoping that someone would get the title but guess that it's too clever by 1/2. Was also hoping that it was jessamyn that favorited this....

Let me guess: the 60's themed cart is nicknamed Filur.
