Makes perfect sense really, no more lame excuses about not having the time to get down to the polling station, surely a good thing for the elderly and disabled too.

This ought to do wonders for voter turnout among young people. At least among the hacker crowd, where I expect we'll see the turnout approaching 5000% ;-)

WOO! Go Estonia! Get down with your BAD-ASS SELVES! YOU ROCK!
(Sorry. I had to cheerlead. You see, I'm Estonian. We don't get many chances.)

Don't tell the GOP down in Florida about this! Ok though perehaps because minority folks probably don't own computers and might not as yet be eligible to sign up for library cards

Let the record show that Skot has done his duty as a proud and loyal Estonian.
Postroad I hear it now. "Voting is only for the wealthy that own computers." We will be disenfranchising (last elections favorite buzzword) all the elderly, all the impoverished, and all of the illiterate. The evil computers won't let us vote!
Frednorman brings up what is got to be the most common fear about online voting. Be interesting to see how it plays out.

As a mate of one of the participants in the "net election" debate last night, I'm proud to report that the Estonian ambassador "totally fucking stole the show."
