Blue Vertigo | Web Design Resource Links
A link to links? If the site acted more like a blog and filtered/featured specific resources, I could sign off on this.

That's quite a collection of almost completely context free links. Bonus points for the horizontal scrolling.

Looks good to me... quite a nice collection of apparently well-vetted, useful links. I'm glad you posted it, Gyan.

Horizontal scrolling is not used enough.
I agree. It can be a much nicer way of presenting things, IMO. For example, photographs.

Thanks for this! I'll use it well.
I really want to change my main site to look more like this one (with the horizontal scrolling).

Shocked this hasn't been deleted yet. Am I the only one who doesn't sleep?

How about a similar resource for flash designers?

It is categorized and it looks fairly well filtered overall.

I'll enjoy horizontal scrolling when the wheel in my mouse works that way.
(And don't start with the trackballs and Mighty Mice. They blow.)

How is a link to K10K et al filtered? It's just another link to links that link some more.

It's just another link to links that link some more.
An infinity of links, linkety-linking from link to link in link-like fashion until they reach the missing link, which is Art Linkletter. But Linkletter points to the Infinite Glowing Web Goddess, falls to his knees, and Linkletter cries: "Let 'er link! Let 'er link!" And the universal order is restored, and the links begin anew. Forever. Another link in the chain.
Chay-chay-chain
chain of fools!

Works fine with my £5 generic mouse.

Since you referenced the Mighty Mouse, I'm assuming you're using a Mac. That being the case, hold the shift key while using the scroll wheel and voila!
On Windows machines, I'm pretty sure most mice developed in the last 2 years has a horizontal scroll option. Alas, it doesn't work so hot out-of-the-box on Macs.

I think it works fine on out-of-the-box Macs. Desktops come with the Mighty Mouse now, which has a multidirectional scroll-ball. And the MacBooks have 2-finger multidirectional scrolling.

@Deej : I meant the 3rd party mice with horizontall scroll support. The Apple-branded Mighty Mouse and the MB/MBP work just fine.

Ah. The mice don't work so hot... not the hori-scrolling. Gotcha.
Having said that... I don't care for horizontal scrolling, and I don't think I would deliberately implement it for anything other than a gallery, and even then I would use left and right arrows. In fact, I may use a Flash gallery for my website re-do. But relying simply on the bottom scroll bar to tell the viewer that the site scrolls sideways is best avoided, due to Deej's Rule of Life #624: People will be as dumb as you let them.
