Cold outside? Gray skies and icy rain? Seasonal affective disorder got you down? What you need is a nice frothy cup of Hot Chocolate.

Feeling better? Of course you are... here, have one more sip. There you go. All better?

jpdoane, we call that magic cocoa at the tula residence. And it never fails to satisfy, sat-is-fy-y.

As much as I loathe disco, this song works.

Errol must have spent the 70s beating them back with a stick.

Actually, watching the interview, he probably still keeps a blunt instrument handy these days too.

For years Errol Brown never seemed to age... from time to time he'd turn up on tv and look identical from every other time. It's unnatural.

Dude! I never know that the 1990 version of Everyone's a Winner by Montreal's own Bootsauce was a cover.

That's just funky, whether they call it disco or not. It's much funkier and soulful than much disco. I'm tired of You Sexy Thing just cuz it's overplayed. It's still a good song for the genre. Everyone's a Winner is really a standout, though -- great arrangement, great guitar hook, great chorus, soulful as hell lead and background vocals. Whatdya want? Those striped pants are off the hook, too. Superbad all around.

I hadn't even moused over the links to see it was about that Hot Chocolate, and I was picturing Kenny Everett licking Errol Brown's head coming out of a large steaming mug... ah, memories...

"You Sexy Thing" and the movie "The Full Monty" are forever linked in my mind....hmmm...guess I know what I'm watching tonight! :)

When I was in high school, my friend Dave was much more sophisticated with computers than I was. This was the late 1970's and we were both into hard rock, and had seen Van Halen together. One day he opened his locker and there on the door, printed vertically on old style continuous computer paper with alternating green bands in some huge ASCII font was;

Nothing beats Mexican hot chocolate with a little dash of cayenne or Tabasco mixed in. Mmm.
