The Privacy Commissioner of Canada has a blog. This is an "official" blog covering issues of privacy issues and legislation in Canada.
This is a interesting blog, blue_beetle. Thanks for finding it. They do a good job of summarizing the concerns and questions raised by new laws and initiatives, and highlighting the difference between American and Canadian practices. Worth reading.

This is a great place to learn about how the US govt is collecting and misusing personal info. And hail, Canadian privacy overlords! Please conquer us.

In other news, the US Senate just voted on an amendment that would strip retroactive immunity from the surveillance bill. It failed 31-67.
Obama voted yes, McCain shamefully but unsuprisingly voted no, and Clinton was absent.
Nice democracy and rule of law ya'll got down there. Boy, those democrats are sure shaking things up. No more kowtowing to the Bush Administration, except when their telco overlords demand it, or they fear it might make them look "weak" on torturing puppies, or something.

Oh, and after having had a chance to read this blog, it is refreshingly forthright, insightful and relevant. It's hard to believe that this is the official blog of a bureaucrat.

Something about the Privacy Commissioner having a blog seems eponysterical to me. I mean, is it even friends-locked, at least?
