Fafblog's back baby! Have some pie!

After nearly 21 months of hiatus, whimsical politics blog Fafblog is back! And it's redesigned, too!
Right now I would ordinarily include a link to best posts of the past, but I would have to include all of them.
FafBlog is the best blog!
I have to admit that the pseudonymous blogger knows how to turn a phrase:
Once Iraqis were tortured and killed by an evil dictator. Now they are tortured and killed by freedom! Their genitals are shocked with the electrodes of liberty. They are mowed down by the machine guns of independence!
Indeed.

This makes me ridiculously happy. fafblog was one of the very best satire blogs, and I've missed it sorely.

Oh, man. I kept FafBlog in my favorites list until just last month, when I finally decided there was no imminent return planned. The best of the web indeed... thanks, JHarris, I never would have known it was back. And, apparently, fie on me for giving up hope.

So I was going through some old posts, and figured a few pointers might help people remember the wonder... the wonder that is Fafblog. Except nearly every archive page I go to is at least 50% awesome!
For example.

It's the perfect antidote to the depressing and enraging BushCo-related FPPs further down the page, so thank you very much!

It probably has nothing at all to do with the horrifically complex coding required to customize Blogger beyond any of the dozen-or-so available templates.

LobsterMitten, I read somewhere that the author(s) had health problems that flared up.
Attempts to identify the Fafblogger definitively have met with firm requests to leave him/her/them/it alone. I can think of at least one bloggy near-outing that the author deleted.

I don't like it because it doesn't give me any new information or insights. It has semi-shiney verbage which sounds as if somebody opened a dictionary and picked words at random. It is style over substance, which I detest with a goddamn passion. It is the britney spear's crotch shot replayed nigh unto perpetuity for drunken illiterate slobs who frequently lose the key to their parent's basement and have to break a window to obtain shelter.
I could just be crabby, though, and in reality it's an ironic interpretation of existential cultural rhythms vernacularized by hyper-alliteration wassily placed between facile dumpsteresque dictionary diving and placebo driven hypo-sensitive schizoids on acid.

Fafblog is the funniest site on the Internet. I was deeply saddened when it went quiet.
... Despite not being updated since mid-2006, it never quite got purged from my RSS reader.
I thought my brain was tricking me when those first two posts showed up on the first.

Oh. One thing missing in the new, otherwise great, layout:
The old Fafblog had a picture in the sidebar. It was always a bizarre, somewhat confusing picture. It was invariably accompanied by a hilarious caption.

bravelittletoaster, with all due respect, you're wrong on this. Fafblog shows up the idiocy of the world by presenting it in a new light. It might all be old information, but it's certainly new commentary upon it. And it's sharply written; whoever is behind F/G/ML, they have an amazing facility with the English language. I've never seen a joke there that was overwritten without it being part of the joke (which may be the case with a Medium Lobster post).
And Fafblog is as unlike Brittany's nethers as a thing can possibly be.
