Physics Invader takes the classic Space Invaders idea and, as you might guess from the name, adds physics. Extra points awarded for pushing the heaps of Invader corpses off the edge of the screen! PEW PEW PEW!
It's Friday-ish, right?

Oddness: I managed to lose my last life at the exact moment I killed a level's last invader, then I continued on with -ve values of ships.
I may or may not try to replicate.
I got bored at level 15.

My base either weighs a lot more than I imagined, is covered in teflon, or I'm defending a hockey rink.

It's a good idea in theory, but in practice it doesn't add much to the game.

The combination of increased firing speed, with the fact that the rounds fired fall back down onto the enemies, if they hit nothing, makes this way easy.

The fact that enemy ships fall faster than their bullets and deactivate their bullets if they touch them means the best strategy is to maintain a constant cascade of enemy dead at all times. That's my kinda strategy!

These old school games just aren't the same without a real Atari joystick.

It took me a while to realize that my own bullets were falling back down after hitting the top of the screen making my usual strategy of just sitting in one place and holding the fire button not as effective.

The fast rate of firing (ie more than one bullet onscreen) ruins it for me. Part of what made space invaders space invaders was making every shot count - with this one my fingers get tired banging on fire button.
