Clive Carroll, acoustic guitar virtuoso

Acoustic guitar virtuoso Clive Carroll is one of Britain's most acclaimed players. To find out why, check out these performances: Mississippi Blues, Czardas, Eliza's Eyes, Aerial Discoveries, The Kildimo Set. The last link comes from Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop, an amazing resource with more than two hundred tutorials and performances from top guitarists.

Kids, don't try that neck bend move in Mississippi Blues unless you want to spend time tracking down glue and clamps. The feeling of suddenly holding a beloved guitar in two pieces is quite difficult to describe.

Folks who enjoy Clive Carroll might also like Don Ross.

It's not that hard to do, and your guitar won't break unless you do it way too hard or your guitar sucks. I seem to remember beginner's books from when I was first learning (although that was many years and brain cells ago) even mentioning bending the neck. It's kind of pointless and showy, though, and a tremolo accomplishes pretty much the same thing.

I don't see that many acoustic guitars with wang bars.

Yeah, he's quite good...but I can't get beyond his smarmy grin and the greasy guitar-face expressions in these vids.
