In a perverted way, I've wanted to attend the Maine Lobster Festival ever since I read Consider the Lobster.

Michigan has the Bavarian festival listed and the Annual Lilac Festival, but they don't mention the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts (from the month of June) which the festival website describes as being "the largest all-volunteer arts event in the nation!" with "over half a million people in attendance". But I haven't been to this Bavarian festival or the Lilac festival so who am I to judge?

What? No mention of Mule Days or the Hollerin' Contest for North Carolina? List must have done by a bunch of DY's.

Lessee here. The Muskogee Azalea Festival and Christmas Kingdom, El Reno Fried Onion Burger Day, Poteau Balloonfest, the Honobia Fall Bigfoot Festival, and of course, the Watonga Cheese Festival. Guys, if you're basing your selections entirely on how fun they are to say, you could at least include the Pauls Valley Okie Noodling Festival and the Oklahoma City Red White & Boom Extravaganza. I mean really.
