Showcase of finalist designs from the 2009 Michelin Challenge Design (not Design Challenge, for some reason). Among the expected uber-cool entries by big automakers, several interesting concepts from independent designers, including a stackable "metro cell" vehicle (Korea), solar-cell semi (Hungary), and a luxury-cruising buggy (USA).
PS if you love vehicle design and are in London you should go to the end of year show at the Royal College of Art, it's like going to an entirely conceptual motor show (at 1:10), the other stuff isn't bad either.

It's a French company.

That metro cell looks like an enclosed Segway; sort of a Segway sedan (Segdan?), if you will.

The Nebula looks like some USB peripheral, not a functional car. And how the deuce would you see anything?

The Nebula's probably great for driving into the sun. It squints for you!

LUXURY-CRUISING BUGGY = WANTWANTWANTWANT BUGGY. That sweet ride is fully loaded with all manner of Spielbergian vision.

The metro cell vehicle reminded me of this Toyota iReal, here reviewed on Top Gear.
If they can ditch the apple naming strategy and the evil mastermind finish on the unit I think that these small vehicles could offer a good solution for urban transport.
I think that the model has been proved at least in part with centralised cycle schemes such as the Vélib in Paris. PDF file here with more about Vélib.

The luxury-cruising buggy is cool. It would be even neater being pulled behind a couple of robot horses, though.
Hmm. This could be the very thing I spend stupid amounts of money on when I finally get fabulously rich.
