Been following SmittenKitchen for a while now - excellent site! Thanks for the post... I'll be putting all of them in my RSS feed.

archagon, that was the first thought that came to mind when I read that list too.
Some of my other favorites which didn't make the list include:
Accidental Hedonist
A Scientist in the Kitchen
Kalyn's Kitchen
French Laundry at Home (even though it is no longer being updated)

FX cusine blows away most on that list. Someone's not paying attention.

Last year, I couldn't find my Grandma's recipe for flour tortillas, so I tried the one on Homesick Texan. I don't want to get in trouble, so I won't say better than Grandma's, but they were very good.

Not including Chef John from Foodwishes in a list of the best food blog just de-legitmizes the authors. He is consistently a solid instructor and you'll probably laugh (more than once) in each video...if you like his kind of humor.
And if you like your food served with a side of progressive politics, I suggest the Internet Food Association, which sounds official but is mostly a bunch of twenty-something guys who life together in a flophouse.

Aggghhh!
I do not like the new video format at my favorite food blog, FX Cuisine. I miss the large gorgeous photos.
