Neale is being watched. The local press say the data isn't real-time because the CSIRO fear for his safety.

I missed Neale once, but I was able to swing back around and get another shot.
I hear that Neale is considering real-time updates, but that it will be a subscription site. I personally don't care about real-time, but apparently the spawning grounds are subscription only - so I'll probably sign up.

From the article: Neale is still a juvenile and will not reach adulthood until he is about 3.6 m long and about eight or nine years old. He may one day grow to at least 5 m in length and 1250 kg

Sorry 'bout that. To stay on subject, I think the concern for Neale's safety has more to do with Joe Boating Public trying to find Neale and accidentally shredding him with the boat's propeller blades rather than poaching, but I haven't read what the press has had to say.
