Excuse me Officer, do you have a light?

Excuse me Officer, do you have a light? The topic of Lambeth (a London Borough) taking a softer stance on cannabis use was discussed on MeFi a few weeks ago, but now someone has actually tested it out. The respondants seemed pretty typical of the people in the area (Brixton), but it seems that the Police just completely ignored the reporter as she became increasingly bold in her attempts to get a rise out of them.
A 61-year-old pensioner, who'd like to be known as Mr Blair, explains that he smokes marijuana because he doesn't drink alcohol - bypassing an explanation for the near-empty bottle of Heineken in his left hand. "I'm a tax-payer, so I'm allowed," he reasons.
Straight out of a "Brass Eye" interview, I'd venture. For anyone unaware until now of the existence of Chris Morris, here's a good introduction.
Incidentally, if anyone knows where I can get Brass Eye on video, I'd really like a copy. As far as I know, it was never released by Channel Four.

davehat: The new show is shrouded in mystery - I've tried getting a preview tape but no luck. But my mate met the guy who played Adrian Mole on telly recently and he'd auditioned for it - apparently the material used in the audition had something to do with an army of paedophiles marching from the north...

Goddamnit, that story made me want a joint... looks like by the time I get out of college Canada will have decriminalized... I think I'll be moving there.

Surely that should read "stared at the biscuits for an hour and a half before running away because the shopkeeper was looking for me strangely".
(And Merope Mills is the kind of name that Chris Morris give reporters)
