Whoa! Computer consultants working hourly or as temp workers in California are now required by law to be paid overtime when working more than 8 hours per day. This is good news for workers, but I'm sure businesses will find a loophole soon.

But what if you prefer to work a 4 (10 hour per) day work week? Works great in Seattle where the traffic is exceptionally bad--if you actually have to show up somewhere and can't work from home. From what I hear and have seen it's similar in the greater LA and Bay areas.
