The Jónsi and Alex (Recipe) Show: join Jónsi Birgisson (frontman of Sigur Rós), Alex Somers and their very loud blender to make raw food recipes. They made three videos from their Good Heart recipe book, for Macadamia Monster Mash, Raw Strawberry Pie, and Nammi Nammi. If coconut, almonds, dates and agave (heavily featured in their three recipes) aren't your thing, enjoy a couple dreamy videos from the couple's album Riceboy Sleeps: All the Big Trees and Daníell in the Sea. See also: Sometimes I Get Scared (a distortion-heavy non-album track), and Jónsi and Alex talk about their album, with parts of the tracks in the background.
Jónsi's solo album, Go, is now out, and he has solo videos up on Vimeo, 13 up at time of posting.
Sigur Rós scrapped their last in-the-works album, and members are focusing on their own things. According to Jónsi, they have been "back in the drummer's garage, rocking out like we did when we were 14. i think it’s gonna be good."

The reality of a this cooking show can't possibly be as good as the idea of a cooking show featuring Bjork and Jonsi that just popped into my head.
Jonsi giving ingredient lists in a sing-song-y Hopelandic falsetto, and Bjork being bjork.

Go is loooovely. I'm heading to the show at the Palace of Fine Arts in SF this Friday--the production on the North American tour is supposed to be just amazing.

I can't believe I didn't know this existed - this is fantastic. (And yes, what an excellent post all around!) I'm seeing Jónsi on the 24th at the Pantages in Minneapolis. Can't wait!

Just lovely. Shame they had to put that poor rabbit into the blender though.

I wanted to know if they cleaned the bowl the rabbit was sitting in before they made their pie...

Wait, does this 'Riceboy Sleeps' project have anything to do with rice-boy.com, or is it just an odd coincidence of names?
