Do you realize that if I played by the rules, right now I'd be in gym?

Ferris Bueller is taking a day off. Follow him via Twitter and Foursquare.
"i swear, if cameron says 'hey batter, batter, hey batter, batter, sa-wing battah!' one more time i will leave him here."

The question isn't "What are we going to tweet", the question is "What aren't we going to tweet."

That's really, really sad that there is no Cameron.
Although it is hard to tweet when you are comatose.

This strikes me as the kind of thing you get to find amusing once. That time was Home Alone in real time.

I dunno- I'd probably love it if they did this with Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

There's no Cameron because it's all taking place in his head.
The Twitter posts are all in his head too. Which mean's the whole internet's in his head. Which means we are in his head........
I gotta go.

Jesus' betrayal, crucifixion and resurrection
@jesus is pretty amusing. He shows up with random comments on world events, or to complain about his day.

According to one authority, these actually are Cameron's tweets.

I don't want to know how jaded and burned out the 1986 Ferris Bueller would be if he were a real person and alive in 2010. It would feel like one last vestige of my youth being ripped to shreds.

I was underimpressed. The tweets didn't capture Ferris's voice very well; the only stuff that rang true were the lines lifted directly from the movie. It wasn't nearly as clever as I hoped it would be. I was genuinely excited at the concept but the execution left me wan.

Movies in real time are fun once, and we all know how they end. TV shows are harder there's a crew of Tru Blood people on twitter which were OK a long time ago but when it comes to capturing the right voice I find the mad men twitterers get it right, especially Betty Draper. In a clash of the fictional worlds, PeggyOlson was talking about Ferris just yesterday.
