And what if Chris Redfield was replaced by some sort of self-insert?

But is it more fun than a jumpsuit full of weasels?

Someone needs a crash course in authentic color palettes and consistent pixel sizes.

looking back at the original RE, it's a miracle it ever got established.

BARRY: Jill, see if you can find anymore clues. I'll be examining this.
Really, Barry? It's a fucking puddle of blood! What are you going to do, deprive it of sleep and waterboard it until it reveals who it came from? Do you have a goddamn gel electrophoresis kit in your back pocket? Are you a blood spatter savant who specializes in random puddles? ARGGHH!
Sorry, but I've been wanting to get that off my chest since 1996.

Man, I was totally thinking that. Self, I said to myself, this mashup of a fan-made recreation of a 1987 Commodore 64 adventure game with a 1996 Playstation Horror/FPS that I'm looking at on Youtube via Flash Player in 2010 is just not authentic enough. I'd better get myself over to Metafilter and snark.
Also comic sans sucks, amirite?

Oh, god. In the time it took me to write that, somebody had already complained about comic sans for real.
So much for thinking that would be a joke.

I agree with the complaint about the discrepancy in graphics; the creator is clearly not terrible at pixel art, but s/he needs to learn to match styles. There's parts of the game that look very Flash-y.
That said I really like the first-person Hunter introduction. That looked really good, and it's bits like that that made me want to share this.

This is an appropriate way to return to MEFI after a prolonged absence. Thanks internet!
