Like Tremors, Less Kevin Bacon

Friday Flash Fun: Worm Food places you in control of a giant human-devouring worm of legend. Devour villagers, defile monuments and destroy settlements.

Worm Food bears resemblance to the classic homebrew, Death Worm.

OK, I was crap at it, but that was actually quite fun in a kind of sixty hundred dentures into Kevin Bacon kind of way.

But see, amid the mimic rout
     A crawling shape intrude!
A blood-red thing that writhes from out
     The scenic solitude!
It writhes!- it writhes!- with mortal pangs
     The mimes become its food,
And seraphs sob at vermin fangs
     In human gore imbued.

Out- out are the lights- out all!
     And, over each quivering form,
The curtain, a funeral pall,
Comes down with the rush of a storm,
While the angels, all pallid and wan,
     Uprising, unveiling, affirm
That the play is the tragedy, "Man,"
And its hero the Conqueror Worm.

I want to sink a town into the earth, just by burrowing away the ground beneath it.

Now that would be wormsign, the likes of which even God has never seen.

And I am in the last third of Dune (for . . what . . the 20th time). How fortuitous.

It loaded. It gave me an ad about how congress is racking up debt by passing a healthcare law. And then it loaded again.

Still, the game has to be worth it with that description...

Great minds think alike, maqsarian. Maybe a game with a greater processing requirement could pull it off.

All this digging makes me want to play SimAnt. Where's the 3D remake of that gem?

Frustrating to control, great concept.

Man, I loved SimAnt. Why didn't that game make a bigger impact?

Come to think of it, I was under 10 when I played SimAnt, but I had recently seen the Magic School Bus book on bees, so hive insects were cool to me. But I think I'd still enjoy it for a few more hours. This calls for a flash game remake.

Come to think of it, we need a SimAnt MMO.

Couldn't get it to jump high enough to kill the villagers on the bridge.

(Also, if someone could add a "game" tag on this to make it easier to find in the future when I want to come back to it…)

Frustrating 8th(?) level, but scarfing down sky raiders was very satisfying.
