Cigar Guy

"[London investment analyst Rupesh] Shingadia’s journey to fame began when London Daily Mail photographer Mark Pain captured an amazing image of Tiger Woods botching a chip shot on the 18th hole during the Ryder Cup competition. But all anyone talked about was the googly-eyed guy in the gallery behind Woods, wearing a ginger wig, Groucho Marx mustache and chomping on an enormous cigar ... [He] purchased his costume online to dress up as one of his favorite golfers, Spanish pro Miguel Angel Jimenez." * He's become a Photoshop celebrity.
Now I know I'm getting really good at the internet. The moment I saw that photo, my eye jumped from Tiger over to cigar guy and I said to mrs. betachat: "That guy is about to be everywhere."

I don't know; I like the guy in the red jacket and white baseball cap over on the left of the original. He should show up in more photos. He just looks so dismayed.

I think that's Tiger's long-time caddy and friend Steve Williams. He often looks dismayed.

For a guy who says he's a bit reserved and not interested in publicity, going to a major public event in that get up was not the way to go. Still, more power to him, he seems to be taking it in stride and getting a good laugh.
