Chewing gum artist. "Mr Wilson has created more than 8,000 works of art this way - each one photographed and catalogued for his archive. A picture can take anything from two hours to three days to complete."
in one way it's not as bad as i thought it was going to be--which was chewing gum & using wads of freshly chewed gum to make pictures. in another way, it's worse, because someone else already not only chewed the gum, but spat it out & left it to be walked on & assaulted by whatever grim london can bring.
here's a flickr pool o' pics & here's a brief wiki.

If you meant to say grime, don't tell me, because I liked the poetry of that.
"Technically it's not criminal damage, because the damage has already taken place."
While this argument holds little merit, I hope he continues to get away with it.

I really like it. Screw the haters.
It reminds me of a guy in my hometown of Saginaw, MI, who painted art on the boarded-up windows of abandoned buildings. And guerrilla crocheters in nearby Bay City who covered random benches and posts in yarn.
I totally support any effort to make an urban area a little brighter, especially if it means uplifting the discarded and abandoned.

I found his pictures nice to look at. Cute colors and patterns.
(Tasteless, only in that they're already chewed out.)
