I met the guy who started this ad campaign, he was surprised how well it worked. He said the really interesting part is that individual consumers are now buying Blendtec because they are "Just so cool". Normally they sell to cafes and not consumers. This ad series might just make Blendtec a household name, not that anyone needs this kind of blender to make one milkshake a week.

I understand that in the 2011 series we will finally learn that the 8th Doctor used a Blendtec blender to end the Time War.

If their blender really did have an "Exterminate" setting, I'd totally buy one.

I prefer Louie Armstrong's version of "Hello Dalek" myself...
But I've seen better Sci-Fi Blender Demos.

PUT IT ALL! IN THE CURRY!
I, too, would enjoy a blender that makes the TARDIS sound. Or pretty much any appliance, for that matter.

You know that TARDIS sound means the brakes have been left on. Fear the blending that would result if River Song was at the controls.
Meanwhile, Craig Ferguson had Matt Smith on a special Doctor Who night on Tuesday. Sadly, the opening dance to the Doctor Who theme was cut due to failure to get legal clearance 5 minutes before the show was recorded, said Ferguson, who also said that it would be a terrible, terrible thing if the dress rehearsal were to be leaked by a staff member. Just terrible.
Keep an eye out at the usual places, just in case.
Oh, and the Dalek was still hanging around the set last night. I think Jeff looked jealous.

(OT: I just wanted to mention that having a blender in your kitchen actually increases your chances of making malted milkshakes tenfold.)

The Blendtec blenders used by Starbucks (previously -- as they now use Vitamix blenders) could barely blend a frozen banana without burning out the motor. I guess the company cheaped out and didn't buy the model featured in these videos.

Hmm... the Doctor won't carry a gun, but perhaps he'd carry a blender.
It would go well with the screwdriver anyway.

Man, it's hard to find a decent word for Advertising, Marketing or Blending that rhymes with Exterminate
Promulgate!
Annunciate!
Homogenate!

Oh, how I wish we could add cool sci-fi sound effects to everything... so that every door opened with the whoosh-whoosh Star Trek door noise, f'r'instance. If my blender made a TARDIS noise, I would have malted milkshakes ALL THE TIME.

According to the Timelords, a 1968 Ford Galaxy is also a viable weapon.
