Rock on, Rebekah! Let's see...

How Not To Win Friends and Influence People. A fan of the Broadway show Rent convinces other fans that -- like one of the characters in the show -- she has a terminal disease and deserves their attention and sympathy. A college freshman tries to convince his big-city friends that his parents are sophisticated ... vegetarians. A Massachussetts high school student decides to speak, all the time, in a British accent. Then he flies to England. Broadcast the weekend of March 17-19 in most markets, or available here next week via RealAudio.

Which one of these is her segment? The Rent fan?

yeah, hi. this is all pretty exciting. i spent super tuesday [every tuesday is a super tuesday!] with ira glass [ira glass!] and blue chevigny interviewing several people for the segment. you may or may not hear me on there, too. it's a great story, i hope you'll get a big kick out of it.you may or may not know that back in the day when i was in high school i was a renthead [that's why when you click "what's related" on the org, it links to the official rent site -- i just discovered that today -- how did they know???] so anyway, i followed this saga described in the this american life piece as it unfolded [back in 1997] although i never got too emotionally involved. interviewing all of these people felt a little like visiting a past life.anyway, let me know what you all think of the show! keep your fingers crossed for me that this all goes smoothly. (:

Oh this is so cool! This American Life is one of my favorite programs, I can't wait to hear your segment!

Is Ira Glass as cool in real life? He sounds like he'd be a lot of fun to hang out with.

Well, anyway, congratulations!
