The victory speech that President-Elect Joe Biden gave yesterday evening contained a poignant moment as he was ending when he recalled the hymn "On Eagle's Wings." a song that was important to his family and that was sung at his son Beau's funeral. Biden quoted the hymn's chorus: And He will raise you up on eagles' wings/ Bear you on the breath of dawn/ Make you to shine like the sun/ And hold you in the palm of His hand Biden is the second Catholic to be elected to the American presidency (after JFK) and "On Eagle's Wings" is widely considered a "Catholic hymn."
