Ermmm... who is Kevin Smith? Am I missing something here? FWIW, I'm Silent Bob. Whoever he is.

Malross: Kevin Smith is a writer/director with a cult-ish following, and made the films "Clerks" (and its short-lived cartoon series counterpart, which was hilarious and is available on DVD), "Mallrats", "Chasing Amy", "Dogma", and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back." Silent Bob is the character that Smith himself plays in all of these films (alongside his hetero lifemate, Jay, played by Jason Mewes).
That's a quick summary, which may or may not help...

I got Banky- which is good, I guess, since my girlfriend loves Jason Lee...

Ooh, I'm supposedly most like Alyssa from Chasing Amy...I'm not sure whether that's good or bad, though. Thanks for the fun little link!

These online test things are only interesting because of how they fail. Which they do almost constantly. I'm getting a litle bit tired of them as well but if it keeps you kids amused then I guess that's fine.

I was hoping I'd be Brodie, maybe Banky, but I'm Azrael. Which is still ok with it being a Jason Lee role.
Oh and thanks davidgentle. The epihpany I got after reading your post was truly life-changing. If only I'd read it before I followed the link...

Hmmm, when I take the boy test, I am Brodie. When I take the girl test, I'm Brandi. Mine is not to wonder why...

I think that these tests are a complete waste of time, and that they really don't tell you anything about yourself, or anyone else. They are childish and oversimplifying. They are also kind of fun, and who says people don't have a right to waste their time or be childish if they want to. As to whether they belong here in metafilter or not, that has been fodder for metatalk on a number of occassions. I'm not certain if a consensus has arisen as to whether they are good or bad, or belong or not. Some people say that they are tired of this meme. I think that it is interesting that people take the time to try to put these together, and the postings here have the potential to tell us more about each other.
For those who think that these things are too lightweight to be material for metafilter, here are a couple of other test that you might find contain more substance: Keirsey Temperament Sorter II, and the VARK Questionnaire.
Oh, yeah...Brodie.

Man, I'm Dante. I hate that whiny little bitch. I'm WAY more like Silent Bob, dammit, and I'm gonna keep taking this stupid test until it realizes that I'm not whiny, but wise and silent and pithy and shit. And another thing....

Ani, you are not Brandy. I suppose maybe a little bit, but I would've picked you as an Alyssa... But what do I know?

bagadoccio- I took that VARK questionaire you linked to, the results say and I quote-
"You have a mild Read/Write (R) learning preference."
This, combined with my Kevin Smith test results tells me that I am a textually-oriented sex-crazed garbagehead.
Sounds about right. Cool.

I find these tests annoying and I always do them. I don't know what that says about me.
That VARK thing is cool, though. I've never seen anything like that before.

jonmc... I got a multimodal result from the VARK, and an idealist/healer temperment from Keirsey. I have no idea at all how that fits with a Brodie result from this test though. As for more Jays on metafilter, I think a lot of them are busy hanging out in front of the video store.
Badmichelle... I found the VARK test after I took a series of tests for a job interview, and tried to find out more about those tests online. There are a lot of other personality tests out there that deal with subjects other than just popular culture. The VARK test was the one that seemed the most useful though.
