Are you sick of those Survivor/House programs that are based on competition and "winners"? Then take a look at Quest For The Bay - it's about co-operation and getting along together. Different, eh?
What a snooze. Now here's an idea for a pilot, "Domestic
Abuse." Will she wise up and leave? Or take her beating again for the cameras?

Yeah, sounds boring. I couldn't even finish reading the description before losing interest. I'll take bean-stealers and ass-sucking ticks over this crap any day!

Watchable TV is about conflict and drama
Oh, you mean like those brainless, inane, American 30 minute sit-coms. If I see another group of teenagers sitting on a couch talking about nothing, I'll croak. BTW...can't wait for the re-runs of Beverly Hills 90210 and Home Improvement. Now that's what you call great TV....

That would be as exciting to watch as if they allowed Disney to produce pornography.

Actually, Mach3avelli, I'd be excited to watch that.

Ever notice that Survivor and its ilk always end in heartache and tears? That's because an emphasis on the individual is inherently destructive.

I haven't seen Quest for the Bay, but I have watched quite a bit of Pioneer Quest (also produced by the History Channel and since picked up elsewhere) and it is excellent. I mean, it sounds really dull, 4 people try to live like homesteaders for a year but it is a strangely compelling show. Tall Ship Chronicles is another very cool program along the same lines.
