The World Summit on Sustainable Development has come to a close and some say it was not very effective. It has becoming clear we need to act as an international community. But, what is an international community? (And can it work as well as our web community?:)
A bunch of people coming together and accomplishing nothing but endless discussions...sounds like it already DOES work as well as your web community.

Do you imagine anyone called Colin Powell a "fuckwit" at the summit?
I don't know that an international community is the best approach to our current problems, but I honestly don't think it looks like we'll have much of a choice in the matter one way or the other.
