The redesign blitzkrieg continues: Webvan is getting a new look, complete with light influences from Aqua and - yes - amazonesque tabs. As an added bonus, it won't work with Macs. I'm interested to see how this plays out.
Won't work with Macs? They just lost my business.
And I'm not returning the green and yellow bins either. So there.

Mac users should be used to getting these things a little later. It's just like software. I guess thats the price you pay to have that orange computer.

Oh gimme a break. If you write clean code and make smart development decisions, you don't have to do anything special for the macintosh, aside from a conditional stylesheet or two. This is just sloppy development.

Oh, please don't stop using WebVan. Their stock price is low enough as it is. I'm sure they're getting hate mail from the Mac community and are working on Mac-friendly code as we speak. [Disclaimer: While I'm speaking as a Mac user, I'm also a stockholder and live in a market not important enough to warrant WebVan service.]

Why I hate Webvan: they will be phasing out Homegrocer's peach logo. Boo, I say (and not in the Halloween sense).

It's a far cry easier to write web pages that work on Macs (at least IE 5 for Mac) than it is to write web pages that work and look properly with Netscape 4.x, even without stylesheet tweaks. I really can't see any reason not to invest the few extra hours out of weeks of development time it takes.

Amen to that, cC. Netscape 4.x is Really Quite Bad and Annoying.
