The state of Minnesota decides to fight distracted drivers by putting up billboards. Next up: A new state committee to check programs for irony before they're made public.
"Sorry Officer I was busy reading all the new signs and just did not see that 18 wheeler in the road."

Minneapolis has billboards that ask people to consider the societal consequences of cursing less. There's no end to the busybodyness around here.

Wait, I've got a better idea.
They should make bumper stickers with tiny, tiny print on them too!
And how about encouraging drivers to use their cell phone while driving down the highway?
Or give good driver points for any lady who can put on her makeup while driving to work in the morning. That'd work!

Why stop there? Just call them directly on their cell phone and remind them to stay focused.

Gary got where I wanted to be if I'd had first post.
claudius brings up Burma Shave, which is good: a certain percentage of those signs actually did focus on traffic safety.
