Increasingly, London is its bars. Twenty-seven new drink portals open every week. Luckily Chris Morris has sorted through the chaff to give us the definitive London bar guide.
i know its sort of taboo in this sort of community, but this makes me wonder who's from where in here. i suppose i was caught off guard somewhat by a reference to london, even though i see so many links to the guardian.
24/m/berkeley, ca, for the record.

The Connexity review is excellent - sounds like just the place for a MefiUk night out :-)
(I'm in Leicester, UK, but you don't need to be from here to enjoy that link (well, maybe you'll get more jokes, but <whisper>they're not real bars</whisper>))

On a similar subject, this is funny - Are You In One Of Those Bars?

I was interested to note that the Nina Tunes 10th anniversary compilation, Xen Cuts, includes a track by Amon Tobin and Chris Morris. I'd heard that Morris does some ambient music, but I'd not heard it before. In short: disturbing stuff. Lots of fun with slightly distorted vocal samples, lots of "can't quite work out what he's saying..." paranoia - very disquieting.
I'm currently living in Cambridge (UK). And yeah, I've been to a couple of those bars... ;)

Chris Morris is completely overrated and nothing without Armando Ianucci.

Curiously, I believe the exact converse to that.
Funny old world.
