Interesting mix. That first etherial break sandwiched between the hard rock gave some nice Evanescence vibes.

It’s amazing that in the early 2000s had bands trying to incorporate the sound of hip-hop into hard rock, and and now we are incorporating the sound of early 2000s hard rock into hip-hop.

Spiritbox are a metal band from western Canada - they name check bands like Meshuggah and Gojira, which puts their general vibe in the European metalcore/djent scene. It's a bit of a surprising choice for Megan Thee but I am predisposed to love this. I don't think it's a coincidence that Spiritbox are one of the few metal bands fronted by a women, and I hope this sort of collaboration ends up ruling the world like Anthrax and Public Enemy did.

Spiritbox put on one of the best shows I've seen this year (out of a dozen or so, mostly metal). Very glad to see them getting further recognition and a boost from Megan Thee.
