hrm. Usually I can sort these out without much trouble, but I have three coins and a stick and can't seem to do much else. Not impressed.

Stuck in the room and clueless about the safes. Story of my life.

I have three coins and no idea how to continue.

Got a bird and a stick. Stuck.

Yeah, just a few more words about game mechanics (for instance, have this stick, how do I use it?) would be helpful. As it stands now, not fun. Escape Fail!

Bought the bird with the four coins.

You use the stick to poke a tree that has a tail sticking out of it.

that bird ate my cake and ran back into the log. grrr.

can't figure out snowman picture code.

What irks me most about escape games is that they supply arrows for navigation, but then don't use them to indicate all the (large, should-have-arrows) places you might go.

I love you, giant space bird.

Well made, but the ending is really depressing.

Yay! I love neutral's games. I've replayed all the others a million times now. I've even managed to get my daughter hooked. I checked yesterday to see if this one was done, but in the heat of work forgot to check today. Thank you!

that was cute, but a little irksome at times.

I was really not expecting that ending though. That damn cat just ruins everything. And since when were deer carniverous? i mean, seriously. At least you have the pickaxe to do work with.

Hooray! I did it!

I did it! Yay! The best part were the cat's adorable little meows.

I win! (Although I had to look up where the Blue Star inside the house was.)

Awesome. Thank you.

Neutral's room escape games are some of the best around. I'm normally rubbish at them and end up resorting to walkthroughs, but just occasionally that isn't necessary. As in this case. Joy.

Anastasiav - the whole point of the room escape game mechanic is discovery. You click around, find objects and you try doing different things with them. The game soon lets you know what does and does not work, as well as what nearly works but not yet. The game itself is full of clues about how to progress and also tells you clearly when an object has no more uses.

My sense upon finishing this is less about accomplishment, and more about coveting fuzzy yellow chicken throw pillows.

is there any way to get the fish off the table?

lazy cat, grrr.

That will keep those darn kids out of my hair for 15 minutes. And I have to say that the ad for motion-sensor air fresheners that precedes the game is fascinating. Who knew that a product like that would ever find a niche in today's tight markets... Should I be buying these as gifts? Is that something that no joy-filled Christmas-ey home should be without?
posted by sneebler at 2:47 PM on December 22, 2009

TWinbrook: just leave it there. Once you put there for the cat, there's nothing else to do. I think he actually takes it out by the pond to eat it. There will be something next to the cat that you will need in the basement of the house.

Hooray for neutral; love his other escape games. Thanks for posting this, it was fun!

This game is obviously about ruining Christmas for a fish and a snake and then mashing peeps together to watch them blow up in the microwave.
