Yes sign me up for this. I always make sure catch the opening jokes. The burger of the day is harder to catch sometimes, but overall they're all quality.

I can only second johnxlibris.

This is the sort of thing that makes me love people.

For our kids, Bob's Burgers is to the Simpsons when I was growing up: they quote episodes nearly every conversation.

And - unlike the Simpsons (and nearly every sitcom) - the Belchers are nice to each other, even when they're in conflict.

The Great North shares a lot of the same DNA (and kindness) thanks in no doubt to the Molyneux sisters.

Bob's Burgers is such an overlooked gem. In a lot of ways it's kind of deliberately the opposite of the Simpsons — the family almost never leaves the immediate vicinity of where they live, and when they do it's usually to go somewhere relatively mundane. Everyone in the family seems to love each other. The parents are realistically flawed people but legitimately trying their best. And really, one of my favorite things about the show is how little it feels like characters reading dialogue to each other, and how much it feels like people actually talking to one another.

It's consistently funny and has a lot of heart! I like this show a lot! (Central Park on Ted Lasso+ is also very good if you like Bob's Burgers but feel like it needs about 80% more Broadway Musical)

This seems to be the place to now ask -- the running joke of Linda saying "Stay out of my room" every time they leave the kids alone, is there something specific she doesn't want the kids to see or is it the generic parent warning that many can relate to? Did I miss an episode with the bedroom secret?

Every now and then, I say a little Thank you, Suzanna Makkos, for gently guiding Loren Bouchard away from the original pitch.
