Drivin' that train...

Youtuber RailCowGirl is currently streaming The Best Of Norway's Railway Cab Views. "I've gathered the best of Norway's Railway Cab views from all seasons on my channel in this Stream running 24/7." Tunnels, horns, mountains galore. From her channel, it's only a few stops until you reach a similar site in Holland where you can also see what the rest of an engineer's job is like via the engineer's cap-mounted GoPro. Next, over to Switzerland, before heading back to Norway. [Bonus Hyperlapse Channel!] [Ready to drive your own train, now? Here's a previously-on-MeFi 8-bit simulator, so you can drive forever, or until you fall asleep.]

Oh no. It's a 24/7 livestream. This is dangerous for me.

Hey! This is the route I would take everyday when I went to college in Zwolle.

This type of slow tv is my favorite! Thanks so much for sharing!

Dang! The driver has the best view on the train. Hanging your head out the carriage window is not the same thing at all at all. But a close second was doing the Hythe-Dymchurch narrow gauge railway trip as a tween securing, with my brother, the two rear-facing seats on the last carriage. clattery-clack, clattery-clack and the country scrolling past.

I have to open google maps and find where the train is travelling and follow along. It's the only thing which let me get to bed last night, when I realized that there were kilometers of tunnels and snowsheds coming up and everything outside was frozen solid anyway, so not much to see.
