Terrible rap video versus Gymkata. Who will emerge victorious?

My karate classes are not like this. I can't decide if that's good or bad.

For anyone who wasn't there, the 1980s was exactly like this, all the time.

Curious if anyone had ever attempted "Karate Kid: The Musical", here's first result...

Also, as far as the mainstream was concerned, there was only one 'rap' song - you just changed the words to suit different things.

I'm not really sure why, but I started looking up some of the dancers et al. I mean, it took a remarkable number of presumably-talented people to make something that profoundly stupid, and I guess I wanted to see what they've been up to since. One of the "geishas" was a broadway actor, performing in drag for the video, who died of AIDS complications in 1994. Another dances with dolphins now and has a film that apparently screens at "pro-cetacean events."

I kind of want to go through the whole cast.

The 80's were when us Americans thought Japan was destined to take over the world.

Little did we know it was actually China.
