Wow. The iconic photo of the protestor standing in front of a tank seems almost sanitized.

I hope some day what really happened is allowed to be talked about openly in China - I can’t imagine how hard it must be for the survivors to have to live silently with this. That said I can’t stress the Content Warning enough - there are images of the aftermath of tanks rolling over human bodies in here. It can’t be unseen.

Yeah, photo #14 is horrifying.

I dread that we'll see exponentially more photos like these from Hong Kong in the near future.

These aren't even the bad ones.

The world's attitude towards the government of the PRC is pretty distressing. OT1H, they're a despotic, murderous regime currently engaged in genocide that will quite happily just kill you if you're inconvenient and unimportant. OTOH, it's an easy place to make a buck. So the world sighs and makes that buck, and the boot keeps stamping on a human face.

Yeah, those are... powerful images is an understatement.

FYI growabrain that documentary you linked to has now been removed by YouTube for "violating YouTube's policy on violent or graphic content". Would you be able to give us the name of the documentary?

Thank God for at least one aspect of our current social media; Hong Kong would be a present day blood bath without it.
