Sometimes when I browse the used minerals, I'll decide to get one based solely on the text etched on the side facets of the crystalline structures.

This reminds me that I have to head back to the mineral room at the NYC Museum of Natural History. Pictures are lovely, but I like my minerals in 3D.

This is a tumblr. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It menaces with serifs of obsidian.
On the tumblr is an engraving of a langite.

Masterpieces of the Mineral World: Treasures from the Houston Museum of Natural Science is a large-format atlas of spectacular mineral specimens. One of my local libraries has a copy.
